Codi Miller-McIntyre had excellent awareness and made a great last-second pass to Devin Thomas who tipped it in around the basket to win the game for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons by the final score of 65-63.
Editor's Note: CMM admits that it was a shot attempt. All I'll say is that's the best missed shot a Wake Forest player has ever had. I love the honest, and it was still a great job of getting a shot up. As they say, sometimes the best offense is a missed shot and an offensive rebound.

Richmond had a strong start to the first half and cut Wake's lead to 1 at 35-34. Wake then followed it up with a quick 8-0 run after a Konstantinos Mitoglou 3-pointer, three free throws from Rondale Watson, and then Rondale Watson was awarded two points after a goal tend.
Codi Miller-McIntyre had the opportunity to tie the game at 59, but he missed his layup attempt. Terry Allen grabbed the rebound, but in my estimation he got away with a push off on Greg McClinton. Allen was then fouled, made both free throws, but the Greek Deac knocked down a three to bring the game within one. Richmond made two free throws, then Codi may or may not have called "bank" as he hit a three to tie the game at 63. Richmond shot the ball too early, and then the aforementioned tip-in took place.

Codi Miller-McIntyre led the way for Wake Forest with 17 points, 4 rebounds and 6 assists. Devin Thomas had 9 points and 13 rebounds. The Greek Deac had a huge 11 points, including 3 three-pointers.
Wake Forest won the rebounding battle 37-33, and actually won this game on its 3-point shooting. Wake Forest went 8-18 from beyond the arc, while Richmond went just 2-19. Wake Forest had 13 turnovers, compared to just 10 for Richmond. The Spiders had two more made field goals than Wake Forest, but this is why our site cites eFG% as often as possible.
This was an outstanding win for Wake Forest, who improves to 7-6 on the young season. They won the game without Mitchell Wilbekin, who will return from his three-game suspension on Wednesday against Princeton.
T.J. Cline led the way for the Spiders, and finished with 22 points.
Richmond will host Northeastern on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
Wake Forest will host Princeton on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
