FSU Handles Charleston Southern 71-48
Solomon Alabi finished with 16 points, 14 rebounds, and 6 blocks in just 21 minutes of action leading FSU to a win on Thursday night. The only red mark on Alabi's night was his 2-7 free throw shooting, a place where FSU struggled as a team. The Noles were 10-22 from the free throw line in the win.
Over at ScalpEm.com, the focus was the offensive execution.
One other aspect of the game that was greatly appreciated by Hamilton was the team’s offensive execution. Unlike previous games so far Hamilton was “most pleased with how we executed in the half court.” He added, “We moved and reversed the ball, set screens, set good screen angles …. I hope this becomes a habit.”
“We seem to have grown some since the other night” Hamilton said referring to the team’s lack of offensive execution against Tennessee Tech.
Hamilton specifically mentioned Uche Echefu, Gibson and Kitchen noting how the transfer from Iowa Western “pushes the ball and creates opportunities for others.”
FSU now prepares for a matchup with Pitt at FSU on Sunday on FSN.
Hank Thorns Doubtful for Virginia Tech This Weekend
The DailyProgress.com is reporting that Thorns is doubtful to play in the Holiday Festival in NY due to a sprained right knee. The injury will put more pressure on Malcolm Delaney to handle point guard duties.
Coach K's Drive and Dish
