It has been rare in the past few days, but the ACC had a perfect night on Tuesday. Believe it or not, the best win went to Clemson who defeated a top 100 Pomeroy team, LSU, 64-61. A new star may be emerging for Clemson, as freshman Donte Grantham got a start and finished with 13 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals in the win. After losing to Winthrop and Gardner-Webb, it was a much needed win for Brad Brownell's team.
Louisville held Savannah State scoreless for the first 15 minutes of the game and won by 61 points. The Cardinals will play Cleveland State on Wednesday night. Savannah State just beat Cleveland State a few nights ago, so...
Wake Forest and Pittsburgh also picked up wins over Nicholls State and Chaminade respectively. Of particular note was the night of Michael Young of Pitt, as he finished with 27 points and 15 rebounds. Pitt continues their play in the Maui Invitational as they play San Diego State tonight.
Also tonight, Miami takes on Charlotte once again in their rematch of Sunday's Charleston Classic final, Virginia Tech faces a sneaky good Northern Iowa team, as well as some other cupcake action on the schedule.
