Strong second half pushes Duke to 76-65 win over Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech vs. Duke: The No. 2 Duke Blue Devils won a hard-fought battle in their ACC opener against Virginia Tech, 76-65. The Hokies led at halftime, 36-32, but Paolo Banchero, Wendell Moore Jr., A.J. Griffin, Trevor Keels and their Duke teammates put together a fantastic second half to pull away with the win. Banchero led Duke with 23 points, scoring 17 after the break. Wendell Moore Jr scored 18 points on 6-of-9 shooting with 4 assists and 4 rebounds in the win. AJ Griffin and Trevor Keels each scored 13 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. Keve Aluma had a huge first half, scoring 17 of his game-high 25 points as the Hokies built a lead. Justyn Mutts added 20 points and 9 rebounds in a losing effort.
