The SMU Mustangs put on a show in front of a star-studded crowd that included former President George Bush, The Kansas City Chiefs’ Rasheed Rice, Tony Romo and others as they routed the Stanford Cardinal, 85-61. It was a balanced scoring attack that got the job done for the ACC's top-scoring offense as five players scored in double figures for the Mustangs. Samet Yigitoglu scored a team-high 17 points on 6-12 shooting, including 1-2 from three-point range to go along with 7 rebounds, 2 steals and a block in the win. Matt Cross and Kario Oquendo each scored 16 points, Chuck Harris added 14 points and Kevin "Boopie" Miller chipped in 10 points and 10 assists in the win. The Mustangs held the Cardinal to 33% shooting for the game and held Maxime Raynaud to 18 points in the loss.
