The Demon Deacons took possession of fourth place in the ACC with a 77-66 road victory over the Mustangs. Wake Forest held SMU to just 36.1% shooting from the field for the game, while Wake shot 44.4%. Hunter Sallis scored a game-high 20 points, grabbed nine rebounds, dished out six assists, and had two steals, and a blocked shot. Parker Friedrichsen made five three-pointers and scored 18 points off the bench for the Demon Deacons. Efton Reid added 10 points, eight rebounds, and two blocks. Chuck Harris led SMU with 15 points and six assists. Kario Oquendo added 13 points and nine rebounds. Boopie Miller did not play for SMU due to an injury.
