UNC officially offers the top player in the 2019 basketball recruiting class.
The offers just keep going out for Roy Williams and the University of North Carolina Tar Heels basketball class.
In the past few weeks alone Williams has sent out offers to players in both the 2018 and 2019 recruiting classes.
But this one might be his biggest one yet.
On Monday, Vernon Carey Jr. revealed that he officially received an offer from the University of North Carolina, posting this message on his Twitter account.

The power forward is the composite No. 1 overall recruit in the 2019 class according to 247 Sports’ rankings.
He’s currently participating in the adidas Nations Global event for USA Red 2019/2020. But his recent play over the Summer for his EYBL team earned him the honor of top recruit in ESPN’s Top 60 rankings for 2019.
After previous No. 1 R.J. Barrett decided to reclassify to 2018, Carey Jr. moved up into the top spot.
The Fort Lauderdale product played for Nike Team Florida in the 17U EYBL level and averaged 17.4 points and 5.8 rebounds a game. Many scouts were impressed with his play at a high level in EYBL.
The Tar Heels are just the latest team to offer Carey Jr.
On Sunday he revealed that Kansas also officially offered him, giving him another Blue Blood school after him.
In addition to UNC and Kansas, Carey Jr. holds offers from TCU, Memphis, Georgetown, Miami, Florida, Florida State, Louisville, Tennessee and UCONN.
