Wake Forest Releases Non-Conference Schedule

The Danny Manning era will kick off on November 7 when the Demon Deacons face off against Young Harris in an exhibition game. The first official game of the regular season is on November 14th against intra-state rival UNC Asheville. Following the Bulldogs, the Deacs take the road to play Tulane in New Orleans on the 17th before taking part in the Roundball Showcase, featuring four games in nine days. The first of these games is against Arkansas on the Razorbacks' home floor, followed by a home matchup with Iona on the 21st (editor's note: hopefully Wake Forest can avoid being "Ionaized" again).

Thanksgiving Week starts off with a Monday matchup at home against Nicholls State, followed by a midweek matchup with Mount St. Marys, before ending with the last game of the Roundball Showcase on Black Friday against Delaware State. Wake Forest returns to the ACC-Big 10 Challenge on December 2nd with a game at home against the defending NIT champion Minnesota Golden Gophers before a break for winter exams.

Following exam week, Wake Forest plays Samford at home on December 14th before taking off to Florida to take on the Gators in the Sunshine Classic on December 20th. The Deacs wrap up their pre-Christmas schedule with a home game on the 22nd against Bucknell and after the Christmas break play at Richmond on the 28th and Princeton at home on New Year's Eve to complete their non-conference slate.
