On Wednesday night, Virginia Tech picked up a 9 point win over Radford behind a balanced scoring attack. Four players scored in double-figures for the Hokies, led by Seth Allen's 17 points.
The problems for Boston College continued, as the Eagles lost to Providence by 14 points. The Eagles had a full roster back after having several players miss due to a food poisoning issue at Chipotle prior to their loss to UMass Lowell over the weekend. Eli Carter had to missed the game due to an ankle injury as well. That said, there were no excused on Wednesday night at Providence where BC was manhandled on the boards. Providence grabbed 43% of their own misses and 94% of BC's misses. Speaking of BC's misses, there were plenty of them from long range as BC was just 4-22 from 3 point range. That included a 3-12 effort from Eli Carter who took over a third of BC's shots on the night. Its going to be a long season for Jim Christian, you have to wonder how many league wins the Eagles can pick up this year.
