Tuesday night featured a tale of two ACC teams.
On one hand you had Wake Forest who led a very good Xavier team by 15 at half, only to collapse and lose by 8. On the other hand, you had Virginia who trailed by 7 at half and won in OT thanks to a 3 from London Perrantes. What separates those two teams? Experience is certainly a factor, and not just the experience that comes with time at the college level. Virginia's experience in winning close games showed late against Cal, a team also featuring some very talented yet inexperienced players. Wake, on the other hand is still learning to win and even learning how to hold a lead. Ultimately this experience will sting, but will be a good one for Danny Manning's team.
Elsewhere in the ACC, the league largely took care of business. Virginia Tech ran into a buzzsaw in St. Joe's Isaiah Miles who put up 36 and 15 against the Hokies. BC had a nice showing in a win over Fordham, Syracuse rolled past Montana State, Louisville let UMKC hang around for a bit, but ultimately won big. NC State played in another close one against UNCG where guys not named Cat Barber struggled offensively (once again). Miami obliterated La Salle, while Georgia did the same to Clemson.
Just 3 games on today's slate for ACC teams and Game Sim has ACC teams winning big in each matchup. Check out links, predictions, and more below.
