We have quite a long way til college basketball season begins but Athlon recently released their Early College Basketball Top 25 rankings, with a few surprises.
Many would have to agree that a few ACC programs coming into the season will be highly regarded as possible national title contenders.
Duke, who just locked in the top recruiting class for 2016, looks to be the favorite heading into the season with the talent that is returning and the incoming class. North Carolina should also be high on several lists with several returning pieces as well. Other programs like Virginia and Louisville could be highly ranked, with others fighting their way in.
Athlon recently release their Early Top 25 College Basketball Rankings as several of the teams above were mentioned, along with a surprise Top 25 team.
