One of the first 2021 All-ACC Football Teams has been released, and it is from Athlon Sports.
A few things stood out to me…
1) Boston College is loaded along the offensive line. 4 BC offensive linemen were on the 1st or 2nd team. Trust me this won’t be the last time you’ll see 4 BC offensive linemen on a 1st or 2nd team All-ACC pre-season list.
2) Georgia Tech RB Jahmyr Gibbs making 1st team All-ACC. This might just be the beginning for the most gifted offensive player the Yellow Jackets have had since Calvin Johnson.
3) Clemson has 3 defensive linemen on the 1st team, and 4th on the 2nd team. The Tigers defensive line has a chance to be close to as good as the the wall of the 2018 bunch.
4) Florida State didn’t have a single player on the 1st or 2nd team. It’s an enormous talent drain in Tallahassee, that is going to take Mike Norvell time to fix. Along with Louisville with 4 All-ACC players, FSU ranked at the bottom of the Atlantic division.
5) Duke with just 2 players on 4 All-ACC Teams? It’s hard to see Duke be much of a factor in the Coastal this year.
