Let's take a look at Louisville football.

Louisville
Louisville head coach Scott Satterfield is fast approaching Justin Fuente territory. The hire that looked good on paper, got off to a fast start in his tenure, and then losses started mounting. Louisville and Satterfield have lost 14 games the last two years, have been passed by most of the Atlantic Division and lapped by their in-state rival Kentucky. All of this had Louisville fans frustrated with Satterfield at the end of the season, but a hot recruiting summer and some quality returning talent give Louisville a chance to have a pretty nice season.
Will Go 10-2 (6-2) if:
The offense can put it all together. Look there is potential for the Cardinal’s offense to be one of the ACC’s most explosive. QB Malik Cunningham has shown glimpses of being the ACC’s most dynamic dual-threat QB. The running back position is deep and talented, and Louisville might have the ACC’s best TE in Marshon Ford. If the defense is just marginally better than last year, and the offense reaches its potential, Louisville could be one of the ACC’s biggest surprise teams. A strong season with that great recruiting class could set Louisville and Scott Satterfield up very well for 2023.
Will Go 6-6 (4-4) if:
The schedule overwhelms them. Let’s face it, the schedule could be a huge problem for Louisville. UCF, Pittsburgh Wake Forest, Clemson, NC State, and Kentucky could all be favorites in their game against the Cardinals. Games at Boston College, and at Virginia are road toss-up games. South Florida and James Madison are the only sure wins, and I’m not sure you can trust Louisville at defensive line going into the season. There is too much talent on offense to think Louisville won’t spring a surprise or two, but yikes that schedule.
