The Syracuse Orange may be in for a banner two weeks on the recruiting trail. After Oshae Brissett committed to SU on Saturday, Bourama Sidibe planned his announcement for this coming Monday (and the Orange seem to be the favorite). Another high-profile Syracuse target, Quade Green, will be making his own decision this Saturday. And he might sign early, too.
Green, a five-star point guard from Neumann-Goretti High School in Philadelphia, will be announcing his decision from his school at 8 p.m. ET. His “top five” includes Syracuse, Kentucky, Duke, Temple, Villanova, but the Wildcats and Orange are the favorites.
Along with Sidibe, he was in attendance during Syracuse’s season-opener vs. Colgate at the Carrier Dome. Green also attended the Kentucky’s game against Michigan State at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday.
Over on 247Sports, Ben Sigel cites a note from Kentucky.com’s Ben Roberts about Green and his potential “early” decision.
So hopefully SU made a quality impression on opening night — and a better one than Kentucky. Adding a five-star talent like Green (one of the top 25 players in the class of 2017) would be a huge coup for Syracuse despite the late start on next year’s recruiting class.
