It has been a good few days for the Seminoles on the recruiting trail, as they landed another top defensive prospect.
Isaiah Bolden committed to Florida State this past week, part of the 2018 class, but on Wednesday, the Seminoles learned that they had landed yet another prime defensive player, this time for 2017.
Daniel Wright, a 6-foot-1, 187-pound prospect from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Florida, announced that he would be committing to Florida State.
Wright had a ton of offers and Florida State had been on him for some time now. Some programs that had offered him were Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, LSU, Miami, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, USC, and several others.
On Wednesday though, he announced over social media that he would be taking his talents to Tallahassee. He visited Florida State that day and had intentions of committing.
“Everything is connected like a family and I like that about (FSU),” Wright told the Tallahassee Democrat. “That’s where you want to be. You want to feel like you’re home.”
He is the ninth commitment for Florida State for 2017 and the second safety, joining Cyrus Fagan who committed back in February.
