Georgia Tech is on the board for their 2017 recruiting class in basketball, as they landed a New York point guard on Thursday.
Jose Alvarado, a 6-foot-0, 160 pound prospect from Christ the King Regional announced his intentions to join Head Coach Josh Pastner.
Just a few days before, Alvarado had cut his list between the Yellow Jackets, Rutgers, and Seton Hall.
Alvarado is ranked as the No. 29 ranked point guard by Rivals, with several other sites ranking him as a 3-star prospect.
It is the first commitment for Georgia Tech in 2017.
