Well, that escalated quickly.
On Wednesday morning, ESPN 680 host Drew Deener reported that he had a source telling him that McDonald’s All-American Brian Bowen was taking an unofficial visit to Louisville’s campus.
This is coming off of the heels of Mark Alstork deciding to take his graduate transfer route to Illinois after visiting Louisville. That’s more likely than not due to head coach Rick Pitino saying that if Deng Adel were to return, that they would not add anyone to this year’s roster, despite having an open scholarship. Adel made the decision to return for his junior year, Alstork decided to go Illinois, and the rest was thought to be over with.
Well, maybe not.
It was discovered Thursday that Louisville might indeed add Brian Bowen to this year’s team after a spokesperson at U of L’s registrar’s office confirmed that Bowen had indeed enrolled for summer classes.
Bowen, a small forward from La Porte, IN., is deciding between the Cards, Michigan State, Oregon, and, surprisingly, DePaul.
He will make his final decision this Saturday.

Mike, your thoughts?
