One of the highest-rising recruits in the country over the summer, Traynor is currently rated by 247 Sports as the No. 79 overall player in the class of 2020, and the best player in the state of Kentucky. He picked the Cards over Cincinnati, Missouri and Xavier, among others.
The 6’8 Traynor has built a reputation for himself as being long and athletic with great touch around the rim and in the lane as well as an aptitude for blocking shots. His mid-range game is college-ready, but his three-point shot is still developing.

Traynor averaged 11.2 ppg and 8.2 rpg as a junior last season for a Bardstown team that captured the 19th district crown. His high school coach is another former Cardinal, James “Boo” Brewer.
Traynor joins former Trinity star Jay Scrubb and current Indianapolis Lawrence Central standout D’Andre Davis to form a 2020 Louisville recruiting class that is heavy on local flair.
