We’ve known for a while now that Netflix is producing a reality series on the 2024 SEC football season that will air during the summer of 2025.
The series, which is being produced by the same production company that made the wildly popular Formula 1:Drive to Survive and Full Swing, will be comprised of eight, 45-minute episodes.
The big news regarding the series from Wednesday has been the names of the schools that declined to participate (Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, Oklahoma and Texas), but that’s not what we’re here to talk about.
Word got out back in September that the series’ film crews were embedded with Kentucky during the build-up to the team’s humiliating 31-6 home loss to South Carolina. While that alone would have made for top-tier summer Schadenfreude viewing, we found out today that the crews were with the Cats for one other game in 2024: The Louisville game.
For those needing a reminder, the Cardinals were victorious in that game by a final score of 41-14.
Call your Cardinal friends, call your Cardinal family; make sure everyone sets aside a night this summer to take in the can’t miss television episode of 2025.
