2023 is the start of a new era for ACC Football. The Coastal and Atlantic Divisions are now gone, with the two teams with the best records to be paired up in the ACC Championship game. Along with that change comes a scheduling change, with each ACC team set to play 3 yearly rivals while rotating the schedule with the rest of the conference opponents year by year. For the North Carolina Tar Heels, those three yearly rivals include their closest neighbors in the NC State Wolfpack and the Duke Blue Devils, as well as their oldest rival, the Virginia Cavaliers.
