Of course he is.
Help is on the way for Notre Dame Tuesday night against Louisville. According to Jon Rothstein of FanRag, Fighting Irish senior point guard Matt Farrell is expected to return the court when the Irish host the Cardinals.
Farrell, the team’s second leading scorer at 15.9 ppg and leading assist man at 5.1 apg, has been hampered with an ankle injury for weeks and has missed Notre Dame’s last three games. The Irish have gone 1-2 in his absence.
Farrell has had success against Louisville over the years. A season ago he dropped a then career-high 22 points in Notre Dame’s win over the Cardinals in South Bend, he scored 11 points and handed out eight assists in the return game at the KFC Yum Center.
Notre Dame is still playing without All-American big man Bonzie Colson, who is out until at least late February with a broken foot. Colson was averaging 21.4 points and 10.4 rebounds per game before he went down.
