It took some late game heroics for the #11 Fighting Irish to get the 21-14 road win over the #17 Blue Devils. Down by one point, Notre Dame had a 4th-and-16 and quarterback Sam Hartman, after not finding anything open downfield, took off running and picked up just enough for the first down. On the next play, running back Audric Estime burst through a hole at the line of scrimmage and scored the go-ahead 30-yard touchdown with just over 30 seconds left in the game. Hartman finished the game 15-30 for 222 yards. Estime ran the ball 18 times for 81 yards and two touchdowns. Fighting Irish tight end Mitchell Evans caught six passes for 124 yards. For Duke, quarterback Riley Leonard was 12-27 for 134 yards and a touchdown passing the ball, while also running for 88 yards on 18 carries.
