After a two-season interregnum, Syracuse and Georgetown have met each year following the Orange’s departure of the Big East in 2013. The Orange have taken three of the last four in the series. Both programs will be led by second-year head coaches looking to restore their respective programs to former glory. Syracuse returns two starters from last season in JJ Starling and Chris Bell as well as Adrian Autry’s initial transfer class of Kyle Cuffe, Naheem McLeod and Chance Westry.
Syracuse’s non-conference schedule is beginning to take shape. The Orange will also compete in the Legends Classic at the Barclays Center, not to mention a neutral court showing against Maryland on that same court in Brooklyn. Syracuse is expected to play on the road in the ACC/SEC Challenge.
Next season Syracuse will compete in The Players Era Festival, a new multi-team event where participating teams will be given $1 million payouts toward their collective and allocated to student-athletes.
Expect to learn more of the non-conference schedule throughout the course of the summer months. ACC opponents for 2024-24 are known with dates yet to be announced. Expect Syracuse basketball’s full 2024-25 schedule to be complete sometime in September.
