Pitt opens season with 45-7 win over Wofford

Wofford vs. Pitt: The Pitt Panthers opened their season at home with a 45-7 romp over Wofford. New Pitt QB Phil Jurkovec registered 255 total yards on 17 of 23 passing and 2 TDR. Rodney Hammond and Daniel Carter each rushed for scores for the Panthers. The Pittsburgh defense was stout to say the least, only surrendering a paltry 126 yards and racking up 4.0 sacks.
