Bloggin' Rick is back with a brand new track full of praise and shade throwing.
First up, the Senior Night win over Georgia Tech:
The game itself was typical of some senior nights, filled with nervous energy and jitters. We needed our one run in the second half to secure the lead. Besides his two big mistakes, errant full court pass to Jaylen and not running the ball into his hands, Nanu was brilliant most of the game.
MVP Chart: G. Tech (2) MVP
As I said before the game to the crowd, our coaches of all sports under the direction of Tom Jurich are extremely compliant to NCAA rules. They have been great supporters of me throughout the years. Thank you coaches — your concern has meant a great deal to me this year.
Next, it's time to deal with some haters.
Please do not think the haters get me down. Someone approached me the next day and asked the question what did I think of the trustee that brought up my indiscretion from ten years ago? I responded this way and I will share it with you. My price was paid for a long time. Any time a person hurts their loved ones, the pain is greater than one can imagine. As for the person who said it, the glass houses are overflowing with people who throw those stones. That trustee would be better served trying to get a dysfunctional board on some form of a team. I'll make a suggestion to the person I have not met: let God judge and get out of your glass house.
And finally, it's time for some thank yous.
Ralph Willard will be moving on and I can't thank my great friend enough for his outstanding work and loyalty. You will be missed.
The staff worked tirelessly to help make our team what they are. Thanks guys, you are special!
Good luck to Jeff Walz, staff, and the Cardinals' women's team. Another tremendous job by them this year.
Next week I will take you through each player and what we will go to work on this spring to help them reach their potential.
Last, but by no means least: thank you to our great fans. You are part of a special team. We love and thank you so much for your support.
