A noticeably upset Terry Rozier spoke with the media briefly following Louisville's 69-59 loss to Syracuse Wednesday night, and said he had a plan to squash the Cardinals' February free fall.
"I'm gonna talk to Trez and I'm gonna call a team meeting just for us, the players," Rozier said. "We have to figure out something. We've got to come together on defense and be more vocal. There's too much individual from a defensive standpoint. We're not talking enough, and we're not gonna win games if our defense is not together."
According to Kelly Dickey, Louisville's 9 steals over its last four games is the lowest four game total for a Cardinal team since the 1984-85 season. U of L has also forced fewer than eight turnovers in back-to-back games for the first time since turnovers became a statistic in 1969-70.
I'm not sure if a players only meeting can magically fix Louisville's defensive issues, but I do know that if Trez is helping lead it, I'd pay top dollar for a live stream.
