Malik Davis, a running back out of Jesuit High School in Tampa, Florida, released a list of his top seven schools over the weekend, and listed UNC among them. The 61st best back in the class, according to 247sports, Davis has offers from close to 30 schools. He narrowed his list to Kentucky, Miami, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, and Pitt, in addition to the Heels.
As a junior, Davis ran for 2,337 yards and 28 rushing touchdowns for Jesuit. He also received 11 touchdowns. The 5'11", 185-pounder hopes to make his decision about where to attend to school before the beginning of his senior year at the end of the summer. Davis attended Carolina camp back on June 14th.

Carolina has already been adding to their 2017 class, and securing Davis' commitment would be another boost for next year's incoming class. His 247sports composite ranking gives him a three-star rating and ranks him 982nd in the country.
Back in February, Davis claimed that Boston College, another Jesuit school, was at the top of his list. Obviously things have changed since he has received more offers, and BC failed to make his recently-released top seven schools. He was said to be excited about receiving an offer from UNC, for whatever that is worth.
