The Orange get their first easy win in forever, sweeping the Eagles on the season.
Any concerns that the Syracuse Orange might not care anymore now that the post-seaon is off the table were put to bed after SU's dominant 70-56 road victory over the Boston College Eagles on Wednesday night.
This was the kind of game we've been waiting months to see out of Syracuse. And it happened on the rare evening when Rakeem Christmas was a non-factor. Go figure.
Michael Gbinije continued his run of solid performances with 21 points, three off his season-high, as well as seven rebounds, four assists and four steals. Trevor Cooney chipped in 15 and went 3-of-8 from downtown. Meanwhile, B.J. Johnson emerged from his cocoon and hit four three-pointers for 12 points (though we should note he shot 12 of them). And finally Kaleb Joseph put together one of his best performances on the year, even if his 14 points and four assists don't tell the whole story.
More recapping to come but in the meantime enjoy the dunks, blocks and otherwise fun hijinks (via OrangeBias). Who knew Syracuse basketball games could be fun? We forgot that was a possibility for a while there... (let's not mention that Duke looms on Saturday).
