‘Tis the season of transfers.
The roster for the 2017-2018 Louisville Cardinals men’s basketball team is going to look a lot different. Maybe even more than what we originally thought, and we haven’t even heard back yet on what star guard Donovan Mitchell is going to decide (still waiting for Mike to have that dream where Don comes back and leads the Cards to another national title).
Today, the roster will lose another face from the 2016-2017 squad, albeit maybe not an all too familiar one to fans.
Freshman walk-on guard Tyler Sharpe confirmed with the Courier-Journal is intention to transfer from the program.
The Bullitt East High star spent his freshman season at U of L, playing in seven games and scored two points. He played the most minutes in the game against Pitt, logging five minutes in the 55 point victory (although, everyone got a chance for playing time in that game, even the team managers).
Coming out of high school, Sharpe held offers from IU Southeast, Kentucky State, and Pikeville, but decided to walk-on for Pitino. However, Sharpe has been receiving interest after he made his decision to transfer from Pikeville, Cedarville, Lindenwood, and Morehead State.
Tyler Sharpe says Cedarville and Lindenwood (D2), Pikeville (NAIA) and Morehead State have reached out so far. https://t.co/7C63iBTDho

Best of luck to Sharpe on wherever he ends up.
