Here are my rankings after week eight of ACC football.
1. Florida State (7-0) Thanks to a penalty (which was the right call), the Seminoles escape.
2. Duke (6-1) Impressive win over UVA. The schedule is pretty easy the rest of the way.
3. Clemson (5-2) The Tigers survived thanks to a dropped BC pass that would have been a touchdown.
4. Virginia (4-3) The Cavs definitely could have won, but Matt Johns was off all day.
5. Louisville (6-2) It wasn't the Cards best game, but they delivered when needed.
6. Georgia Tech (5-2) The Yellow Jackets have allowed 79 points the last two games.
7. Pittsburgh (4-3) Chad Voytik helped win this game with his legs.
8. Virginia Tech (4-3) The Hokies have no running game whatsoever.
9. Boston College (4-3) The Eagles nearly pulled off the upset of Clemson.
10. Miami (4-3) The Hurricanes have a big Thursday night game with Virginia Tech ahead.
11. North Carolina (3-4) We are seeing just how good Marquise Williams is.
12. Syracuse (3-4) The Orange beat Wake Forest pretty easily.
13. NC State (3-4) Dave Doeren is now 0-12 in ACC play.
14. Wake Forest (2-5) The Deacs had just 99 yards passing in their loss to Syracuse.
