On Monday, North Carolina landed their second commitment for their 2017 recruiting class for basketball, as a New York native shooting guard announced his commitment.
Andrew Platek, a 6-foot-4, 180-pound prospect from Northfield Mount Hermon School announced he would be committing to UNC.
"Incredibly proud and excited to announce my commitment to the University of North Carolina," he announced over Twitter.
Platek held offers from several schools such as Pittsburgh, Indiana, Stanford, Princeton, Harvard, DePaul, Butler, Siena, Albany, Miami, Yale, Iona, Buffalo, and several others.
He took a visit to Chapel Hill back in June.
He now joins Jalek Felton as the two commits for North Carolina in 2017.
