Sidy Djitte, a 6-10, 210 pound center in the class of 2013 from Fayetteville, North Carolina, will make his college choice tomorrow.
The 43rd ranked center (according to ESPN) is picking between the Clemson Tigers, Memphis Tigers and the Cincinnati Bearcats.
Djitte is a true center inside. He’s long and physical and can handle the paint on the defensive side. When it comes to offense, he prefers to face the basket and is capable of hitting a 15-foot jumper. Like most big men coming out of high school, he will need a couple years to develop his back to the basket game.
With the departure of Devin Booker, Milton Jennings and Bernard Sullivan, Clemson’s coach Brad Brownell is desperate for any kind of size in the paint. Currently, the Tigers have only two players who stand over 6-8, Landry Nnoko (who played about six minutes per game last year) and Ibrahim Djambo, who transferred from Three Rivers Community College.
At the very least, if Dijitte heads to Clemson, he’s guaranteed some freshman playing time.
