A major addition for Pat Kelsey.

Pat Kelsey’s fourth roster addition for the 2024-25 Louisville men’s basketball season is a big one.
Colorado guard J’Vonne Hadley announced Tuesday that he was picking the Cardinals after a weekend visit to U of L. Hadley had previously narrowed his final list of choices to Louisville and USC.
A 6’6, 205-pound shooting guard, Hadley was a jack of all trades for a Colorado team that won two games in the NCAA tournament this past season. In his second season with the Buffaloes, he averaged 11.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.2 steals per game, while shooting 53.8 percent from the field, 83.9 percent from the free-throw line and 41.7 percent from three.
CU head coach Tad Boyle referred to Hadley as the “heart and soul” and “unsung hero” of a Buffalo team that set a school-record for wins. He’ll bring the “junkyard dog” (another Doyle phrase) with him to Louisville that the Cards have been noticeably lacking in recent seasons.
Hadley might not work as the focal point of an offense that the fan base hopes to be elite, but he’s that jack-of-all trades, “do all the little things right” guy that all the most successful teams in college basketball seem to have.
Hadley has one year of eligibility remaining.
