Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim and assistant coach Mike Hopkins conducted an in-home visit with top 2016 target Tyus Battle on Wednesday night.
Wednesday's in-home visit with Tyus Battle was a pivotal moment for the Syracuse Orange basketball program. Battle has become the most important recruit in recent memory for the program, and Jim Boeheim and Mike Hopkins continue to prove it.
Boeheim and Hopkins visited the Battle residence for just under two a hours, a source tells TNIAAM. The two sides have yet to schedule an official visit, but visiting Syracuse before committing "remains a priority," according to a source.

The in-home visit consisted of the usual: academic talk, the future of the program, as well as reiterating the importance that Battle would have at Syracuse, according to Scout.com.
The Orange remain the only school to promise the point guard position, as well as 30-35 minutes per game. The NCAA sanctions are a blessing in disguise when it comes to playing time for high-level recruits.
From what I've heard, it doesn't sound like Syracuse made a huge impact on Wednesday. But more importantly, the Orange will stay in the race for Battle.
Expect an official visit in the beginning of summer. Tyus intends to commit this summer, but that is subject to change. Gary Battle, Tyus' father, is on the record stating his son could commit at anytime.
He officially visited Duke and Louisville this past weekend.
Battle recently listed his final 8 schools, which include: Syracuse, Notre Dame, Duke, Ohio State, Kentucky, Michigan, Connecticut and Louisville.
