Syracuse makes top-6 for New York recruit Joe Girard

Good news for Syracuse around the 2019 in-state target.

The Syracuse Orange have been busy on the 2019 men’s basketball recruiting trail with quite a few roster spots available for scholarships next year.

One of the big targets there is Glens Falls, N.Y. sharpshooter Joe Girard III, who’s already run through state scoring records and still has a year left to play. Also notably, he’s considering playing for the Orange next year, as indicated by his top-6 list.

Girard includes Syracuse, along with Boston College, Duke, Michigan, Notre Dame and Penn State. We’re certainly biased where we’d like him to play come 2019. Hopefully his decision aligns with that (and if not, best of luck to him wherever that may be).

James recently spoke to Girard and he seemed pretty high on the prospect of playing for Syracuse at the Dome, and working with Gerry McNamara. Let’s hope that positivity continues.
