The latest college basketball rankings are out, and Syracuse still isn't No. 1. Why won't you lose, Arizona?
Syracuse has a claim to No. 1 in both polls, but with Arizona continuing to win, it's unlikely the Orange overtake them completely. We can argue the Orange's credentials all day, but they do possess two wins over top-eight teams right now -- something no one else has. SU just needs to keep winning, and hopefully soon, they'll sit atop both the AP and Coaches Polls, respectively.
The AP Poll was completely unchanged from last week, with Syracuse receiving 1,550 total points and sitting alone at No. 2 for consecutive weeks. Somehow, we lost a point in the Coaches Poll and whoever's been voting Ohio State No. 1 over there continued to do so. /Whatever...
The AP Voter(s) You Arbitrarily Love This Week: Since the AP Poll's total points didn't change for Syracuse, you would assume the same folks voted for them at No. 1. And you'd be right. Mark Berman (Roanoke Times), Rick Bozich (WDRB-TV, Louisville), Chuck McGill (Charleston WV Daily Mail), Mark McCarter (AL.com) and Jon Wilner (San Jose Mercury News) all remained faithful to the Orange. Thanks, guys!
The AP Voter(s) You Arbitrarily Hate This Week: Ron Morris still considers SU the nation's sixth-best team, now behind both two-loss Louisville and Florida, respectively. Cormac Gordon (Staten Island Advance) slotted the Orange fifth for some reason, though Michigan State's the only one-loss team ahead of us.

If you're looking for other ACC teams in this week's rankings, Duke was 16th in the AP and 13th in the Coaches Poll. North Carolina, Pittsburgh and Notre Dame also received votes. Pick it up, ACC. You're embarrassing yourself (though not Syracuse).
