In a whirlwind recruitment that happened quick and in real time, the Duke Blue Devils secured another commitment in the class of 2020.
Jaemyn Brakefield, who was offered yesterday jumped at the chance and committed to Coach K and the Blue Devils. Brakefield is no stranger to Duke commit Jalen Johnson who had been low-key recruiting Brakefield and when the offer came in, Brakefield wasted no time. Jaemyn is a lefty, 6'8 forward who could possibly play on the wing as his outside shooting emerges. This past season Brakefield was named the Gatorade Player of the Year for West Virginia, after averaging 17.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game.
Jaemyn joins a class that features:
- Jeremy Roach
- DJ Steward
- Jalen Johnson
- Henry Coleman III
Brakefield adds depth and versatility at the forward position for the Blue Devils with he, Jalen Johnson and Henry Coleman III.
